Operators and event organisers can submit events to ATDW (Australian Tourism Data Warehouse) free of charge.

ATDW is the official directory system used by Tourism and Events Queensland (TEQ) and Brisbane Economic Development Agency (BEDA).

How to create an ATDW event listings

Loading events into ATDW

When loading events into ATDW:

  1. Have landscape images ready to go at the correct size 1600x1200 pixels
  2. Portrait sized photos, posters, brochures, logos or photos with written text are not accepted
  3. Once all events are confirmed in ATDW, they will be published live on Queensland.com and VisitBrisbane.com.au

How to load your event in ATDW

  1. Go to atdw-online.com.au
  2. Enter your username (email address) and password.
  3. From your Profile Dashboard, click the ‘Add New Profile’ button on the top right hand corner
  4. Select the profile category ‘Event
  5. Add a Event Name – note this is what will be displayed as your Event Name on Queensland.com. Example: Tastes of Moreton Bay Feastival
  6. Enter a ‘Event Description’ with information about the event in under 225 words. Include in the description of what the event is offering, such as key entertainment or activity. If a ticketed event, please include the URL link direct to the event booking page, as well as your event/business website.
  7. Enter the ‘Venue Details’.
  8. Enter the event 'Frequency’ and 'Date/s'. If your event starts at different times on different days, you have two options.
    1. Click on the date within the calendar view to change the times or add a new single date. The chosen date will turn black. Either click the X to remove a time slot, use the drop down arrows to update the time, or click Add another time if there is another session to be added on that day. This is also the best way to update any existing event dates.
    2. Enter one pattern at a time. Remember to click the 'Apply' button for each pattern of event dates.
  9. If you select 'Actively welcomes people with access needs' for Accessibility, be sure to only tick boxes that apply to your event.
  10. Upload images, please ensure all images are 1600 x1200 pixels and landscape orientation. Fill in all ALT text, this text will display on some websites.
  11. In the ‘Business Information’ be sure not to leave any spaces in the ABN number
  12. With the option extras area, be sure to fill in as many of the fields as you can. For example, with ticket pricing only tick 'This event is free' if it is free for all customers. Use the COMMENT field to add extra information related to the price. E.g. child under 10 free, seniors' discounts etc.
  13. Submit your event for review.
